About this project

The Problem

Many people struggle to manage their personal finances effectively due to a lack of simple, intuitive, and intelligent tools. Existing apps are often too complex or fail to provide actionable insights, leaving users overwhelmed.

The Solution

Zing-Budgets was created to solve this by offering a clean, modern UI with powerful features that are easy to use. By integrating an AI financial coach, the app not only tracks spending but actively helps users make smarter financial decisions. Firebase backend ensures data is synced and secure, while features like App Lock provide peace of mind.

My Role & Responsibilities

Role: Lead Mobile Developer

Key Responsibilities:

Led the development of the mobile application using React Native and TypeScript.
Designed and implemented the user interface with a focus on modern aesthetics and smooth animations.
Architected the Firebase backend, including Firestore database schema and security rules.
Integrated Genkit to build the AI Financial Coach and AI-powered FAQ features.
Developed core features such as transaction management, budgeting, savings goals, and recurring transactions.
Implemented a multi-layered security system including Firebase Auth, email verification, and a local PIN lock.
Created the data visualization and reporting module with interactive charts.
